10 years ago safety often was only a marginal topic. Today it is in the focus of modern companies – it is part and parcel of a culture which also comprises ethical entrepreneurship and Corporate Citizenship. There is no contradiction between on one side a relative stable and old company – typical for the hydro power sector – and on the other side excellent safety culture. It is a long way to safety excellency and it requires top management’s attention; but it pays off.
